2025 Midwest Protozoology Meeting Highlights

Our Trainees

Five platform presentations were given by our undergraduate and graduate trainees.

We also had 13 poster presentations given by our trainees.

Faculty SPeakers

Jim Forney gave the keynote address and shared insights about a career of working with ciliates.

Mark Slabodnick discussed phototaxis in Stentor and the state of the system.

Jerry Honts presented on the proteins involved with the ultra-fast contraction in Spirostomum

Eric Cole revealed newly identified genes required for symmetry breaking in ciliates.
